Mithrandir, why the blog?

I do not know. Some believe that it is only ads and other things of the sort that promote yourself. However, that is not what I have found. I feel that connecting with people through showing who I am as a person in the simplest of ways will inspire them to want to learn more.

Why the blog? Because I wish to grow a community, and the idea of such a community gives me a great courage to be myself.

My name is Marc and I’m an early thirties lover of fantasy who felt the need to share the stories growing within his head with the world. I found myself wishing to give people what fantasy stories have given me. A sense of belonging. Something magical, yet familiar in a way that brings some comfort in a world that seems so uncomfortable at times. I wanted to provide an escape for people when they needed to run away, and a place for people to go when they wanted to be whisked away to somewhere that felt like home.

What I will post here is probably best described as a mix of my thoughts and feelings intertwined with inspiration from random moments of music, fantasy, and emotion that come through my life here and there. I hope you follow me along this journey of sharing parts of me that maybe I wouldn’t share so willingly elsewhere.
